I'm not saying Top Chef's Marcel has Asperger's . . .

But now that I know I have autism I understand why I always rooted for Marcel. He never seemed to understand why the other season two top chefs hated him so-- I know that feeling. He seemed more comfortable with things than with people-- I get that. Marcel has problems relating to other people that remind me of problems that mu autism causes me.

In the special, chefs from the first four seasons of Bravo's classy cooking competition got together to make dinner and talk about the show. Fabio was a much more graceless host than I expected-- I doubt that Bravo will bring him back in a similar capacity. As is typical for a reality show reunion, none of the participants comes off especially well.

Except possibly for Marcel, who is whiny and obnoxious but unapologetic in stating that he was assaulted on the show. Good for him. The way his actions were interpreted by others on the show reminds me of the way neurotypical people often see bad motivation in our awkwardness.
